With 300 vedic pundits from three states, Telangana CM KCR to perform 5-day Chandi Yagam

HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will perform a five-day Yagam at his farmhouse from Monday. All arrangements have been completed for the ‘Chandi Yagam’. KCR personally has supervised the arrangements in which 300 vedic pundits from different states including Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka will participate. KCR and his wife Shobha will take part in the 'Chandi Yagam'.
KCR has invited all the TRS MLAs, MLCs, MPs and ZP chairpersons for the Yagam. The CM had decided to perform the Yagam before going ahead with the cabinet expansion. He is yet to expand his cabinet after he and home minister Mahmood Ali were sworn in on December 13 last year.
According to sources, well-known vedic pundits, including Madugul Manikya Somayajulu, Narendra Kape, Phani Shashank Sharam and Bhadrakali Venu will take part in the Yagam which will begin with ‘gau puja’.
Chandrasekhar Rao had performed a Yagam before the assembly elections in November 2018. The 'Raja Shyamala Chandi homam' was performed for a win in the polls. After performing the Yagam, KCR started off on his whirlwind election campaign from Khammam later during the day on November 19. As many as 120 vedic pundits participated in the Yagam.

In December 2015, KCR had performed the "Ayutha Chandi maya Yagam" after the TRS came to power in the 2014 elections.
Vedic pundits from Sringeri peetam in Karnataka have already arrive. Sri Sri Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi from Visakha Sarada Peetam and Sri Srigenri Peetham Ashana pandits Phani Sasanka Sarma and Gopikrishna Sarma will begin the vedic rites on Monday.
The CM is performing the Yagam from January 21-25 for good rains, continuation of all welfare schemes and to realize the dream of 'Bangaru Telangana', according to sources.
